Pros and cons of Connect Drive app for iPhone and iPad

Connect Drive app good for

I loved the Sandisk Connect Stick. Now I have my own cloud on my pocket, and dont need any 3/4G connection.
A surprisingly not janky app. Id prefer if the video player was standard versus their proprietary one, but it still supports Cast and AirPlay, which is awesome. Id also prefer if they cut out some of the animations, as they make the app feel slower. All in all though, well done.
This app adds USB functionality to your iPhone and/or iPad. The capability to move document files from the device to the USB stick that was lost is now returned. I am updating my rating to 5 stars.
On the list of products that you purchase for your iPhone or iPad including applications this is the product that should be number 1. It saves you memory, is fast and saves you cloud storage. It also can be used when you dont have a Wi-Fi and you dont want to use Cellular Data to stream movies. The security on this device is excellent.
The stick is very useful, but the app should be upgraded. These are some of points need fixing from my point of view; 1. Over 500 pictures, the red progressing bar is not working properly, it shows wrongly. I think it is better to inform the user with the total file number/transfered file number and approx time lenght to finish the transfer. 2. When iphone 6 automatically lock the display, the current connection with the stick gets lost. So transfering file action cannot contiue. There becomes a problem about how many files sent or not. 3. Sticks battery life should be displayed by hours for average usage. While you are on move, you need to know how long the device will be powered (may be in minutes.) 4. And there must be password protection for contacts backup file in order to prevent unfriendly usage and to build up safety. I am waiting eagerly for your upgrades.
I was skeptical at first but the wireless USB key is very useful and reliable. Great to share working docs

Some bad moments

The iOS app does not have a basic functionality for videos which is to unclude playback controls, such as next, previous, repeat, etc. It only hás a play/pause button. If you want to play multiple small clips in the same folder, you have to manual open the next clip after the current one finishes playing. My objective was to use it to play multiple video files in my iPad to my son sitting in the backseat of my car, but Im unable to do that since the app does not go to the next video file automatically. Very very disappointed since this is basic functionality, which by the way is available when youre streaming music. Dont tell me to copy all video files to the iPad, since I bought this device because I dont have enough free space in the iPad.
App crashes constantly on iPhone 6 Plus when opening the camera roll backup folder.
I really liked this until I kept getting errors trying to get Word doc to the drive. It works for a couple documents then suddenly "error copying file to Sandisk Connect". So frustrating because I know it works but only once or twice. Tried "Open In" PDF Expert but nothing happens. Full of bugs.
The app crashes every time it is minimized or the phone goes to sleep. This means that only 30 photos or so can be backed up at a time unless if you sit there interacting with the app. Since Ive got 2000 photos and videos Id like to back up, this is a pretty unusable solution. Disappointing.
The software just crashes after several minutes of playing a video file.
Someone from the App Store told us we could download any kind of file on this stick. Why can it only back up photos and videos?? A lot of consumers are getting tired of Apples restrictive environment and companies trying to sell half way products like this one.
